Course Description

This Mat class is an extension of material from the MSMS course Your Song Is Your Strength. We’ll work on exercises and images that give us (and our students) options so that we can self-select how to best organize our own breathing during Pilates. At the same time, we’ll explore how the muscles of the pelvic floor play a role in our Pilates movement, without us having to consciously “squeeze” or “lift” them. Well take time to clear up some things that are often overcued, undercued, or just weirdly cued by Pilates teachers. But don’t worry! This class will still include big, challenging Pilates exercises and you’ll still get a good workout!
