Special Topics Course Description


A look at the most current research about balance training at all stages of life and levels of physical fitness, with practical tips to bring to the Pilates Studio. In this course, we’ll:

  • Touch on the role of the eyes and vestibular system in balance
  • Learn about some common causes of worsening balance as we age, and 
  • Work on strategies for improving lower extremity power for improved performance and decreased falls risk
